Book2Action Privacy Policy

Book2Action ("the app") is designed to respect your privacy. This page describes how the app handles information.

Information We Do Not Collect

The developer does not collect, store, sell, or share any personal information about you. The app does not include analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or tracking technologies.

Your OpenAI API Key

If you choose to provide an OpenAI API key, it is stored securely in your device's iOS Keychain. It is never transmitted to the developer or to any third party other than OpenAI when the app makes a request on your behalf.

Third-Party Services

The app communicates with the following third-party services to provide its functionality:

• OpenAI API — Book titles you select and the resulting summaries are sent to OpenAI to generate your action plan. See OpenAI's Privacy Policy.
• OpenLibrary — Book searches are sent anonymously to OpenLibrary to retrieve book metadata and cover images. See Internet Archive Terms of Use.

These requests are made directly from your device to the third-party service. The developer does not receive, log, or store these requests.

Data Stored on Your Device

The app stores the following information locally on your device only:

• Your OpenAI API key (in the iOS Keychain).
• App preferences and settings.
• Optional calendar entries that you explicitly choose to add to your device's Calendar.

You can remove all this data at any time by deleting the app.

Calendar Access

If you choose to add action steps to your calendar, the app requests permission to access your Calendar. Calendar data is read and written only on your device. The developer never receives this data.

Children's Privacy

The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any information from them.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new "Last updated" date.
